I was born and raised in Zimbabwe. At 18, I moved to the Isle of Wight in the UK where I taught sailing for two years, followed by three years back packing my way around Australia, New Zealand and South East Asia. I ended my back-packing adventure in Hong Kong, where I lived for two years, working in a law firm and teaching sailing on the weekends. I returned to Zimbabwe in 1998 where I met my husband, and in 2000 we moved to Seattle to go to University. We now live in Fort Lauderdale, Florida with our son.
Growing up we did a lot of traveling as a family and visited Kenya, Tanzania, Zanzibar, Botswana, Zambia, South Africa, Turkey, England and Austria. My sister and I have the most amazing memories of different experiences and adventures while traveling with our parents.
I have worked in the safari industry for 5 years, and some of my safari the highlights include: looking at elephant and hippo while canoeing down the Zambezi River at Mana Pools (Zimbabwe), spending a day following and observing a pride of lion in the Maasai Mara (Kenya), Gorilla Trekking in Rwanda and Chimp and Gorilla trekking in Uganda.
This summer, we had the most incredible time taking our 6-year-old son on his first safari, to South Africa, Botswana and Zimbabwe!
